Geylang Laksa Prawn Noodles has started since 1964 when Mr Lee is still a young man. Back in the olden days, Mr Lee sells his laksa diligently along the streets of Geylang Lorong 3 to 40 by his trishaw, yelling ‘Laksa! Laksa!’ to attract customers. The trishaw business was entrusted to Mr Johnny Lim, his son-in-law, who was an apprentice back then. This family legacy has thus far passed down to the 3rd generation, his son, Mr YY Lim. Mr YY Lim was Shatec trained and has been working at Ritz Carlton for a year. Geylang Laksa Prawn noodles aim to preserve Singapore Hawker Food Culture Heritage as it is part of Singaporean life. It is dedicated to those who continually yearn for traditional local laksa and prawn noodles in its most comfortable way.
